Me Alice Umulisa KAYIGAMBA

Managing Partner

Academic Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice (ILPD)

Me Alice Umulisa Kayigamba is our Managing Partner. She holds an LLB from the Independent University of Kigali (ULK) and a diploma in legal practice from ILPD. She heads the litigation and Legal Advisory Unit. She has extensive experience in criminal investigation techniques, over 6 years experience in legal advisory services to the criminal investigation department of the national police of Rwanda. She has a lot of experience in modern policing techniques, gender based violence (GBV) and counselling. She is an expert in inter – country extradition procedures and rogatory commissions.

Alice Specialises in the following legal domains: family law, rape and GBV cases, administrative matters, human rights, company law and criminal matters in general. She has litigated many pro bono cases within the framework of RBA. She has extensive experience in trial preparation and advocacy and monitoring. Alice is a member of the Rwanda Bar Association and the East Africa Law Society.

Dr. Me Rene MUNYAMAHORO

Senior Advocate

Academic Qualifications: PHD’s Degree in Philosophy of Law, Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice (ILPD)

Dr. Me Rene MUNYAMAHORO has been in Law sector for over ten years and has expressed an extensive experience in Commercial Law transactions, Investment law transactions and Labour law transactions. He has been a lecturer of law at the National University and handling all the clients requests with success. Currently he is a visiting lecture at the independent University of Kigali where he teaches the module of investment law. He is a Senior Lawyer in the Rwanda bar association.

Me Serugo Jean Baptiste

Academic Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Human rights and constitutional Law, Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice (ILPD)

Me Serugo Jean Baptiste has been in Law sector for over ten years and has expressed an extensive experience in Commercial Law transactions, and Labour law transactions. He has been a lecturer of law at the University of Rwanda. He possess an unmatched way of handling all the clients requests that leads to success.

Me Mutimura B. Patrick

Senior advocate

Me Patrick has over 7 years of experience as an advocate in Rwanda and in the region. He specialises in corporate law. He holds an LLB from NUR and Masters degree in corporate law from UNISA, South Africa.

Me Gilbert NDAYAMBAJE

Academic Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Public International Law, Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice (ILPD)

Me. Gilbert is a practicing Lawyer, registered with Rwanda Bar Association since 2013. He has extensive experience in Commercial Law transactions, and Labour law transactions. He holds a Diploma in Legal practice from the Institute of legal practice and development of Rwanda (ILDP).

KUBWAYO GAKWAYA Rhodam

Junior Associate

KUBWAYO GAKWAYA Rhodam is Corporate Litigations paralegal specialized in Insurance, banking law, and related cases. She holds a bachelors' degree obtained from the University of Rwanda. She currently pursuing a masters' degree of International Economics and business law at the Independent University of Kigali.

Roles: Assist the Managing Director on delay basis by receiving all client Cases, prepare the reports and submit to the Managing Director. Further she is in charge of communication in PPEA

KEZA Lys NTAGANDA

Junior Associate

Keza Ntaganda Lys began working for Probity Partners East Africa (PPEA) in 2018 as a junior associate and is now the operations manager. She holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the National University of Rwanda and is currently enrolled in the Rwanda Institute of Legal Practice and Development pursuing a Diploma in Legal Practice. She has worked on both civil and criminal cases, with a focus on commercial and contract matters. Keza Lys is also highly committed to humanitarian work and justice. Since 2021, she has been studying and researching access to justice for the most vulnerable members of society, and she has participated in a number of programs aiming for that goal. Her history in humanitarian activities stems from voluntary work she undertook in hospitals from 2013 to 2015, where she participated in programs meant to assist sick children, their parents, and vulnerable individuals. She acquired extensive trainings in programmes and project management, legal performance standards and a training on identifications and handling of human trafficking cases as well as educating and mobilizing vulnerable communities against it. She employs her knowledge and experience in her everyday operations at PPEA.

Roles: She runs day to day activities of the firm, she is in charge of Project Management within the Firm.

BAKUNDA EMMANUEL

Junior Associate

BAKUNDA Emmanuel is Litigations paralegal with extensive experience in labor cases and transactions, He also specializes in civil and commercial law related cases. He holds a bachelors' degree in law (LLB) obtained from the University of Rwanda.
